Uganda Tennis Association (UTA) is committed to creating a vibrant tennis calendar that engages senior players, fosters competition, and rewards excellence.

The UTA Senior  Ranking Tournament is a cornerstone of this effort, designed to provide a platform for senior players to test their skills, earn International Tennis Federation (ITF) points through the World Tennis Number System, and vie for national seeding.

Players will be required to have subscribed to ITF for a World Tennis Number.

 The ITF World Tennis Number provides a global standard for players. It is a 40-1 scale, with 40 being a beginner player and 1 being an elite professional. This scale is for all players, regardless of age, gender, or ability.

The tournament will be organised on a monthly basis to check on players’ abilities throughout the year across both men and women.

The tournament will require selected players to have a high level of discipline and commitment as this would bring about a strong competitive environment and ensuring accurate National Seeding.

Players competing in the UTA Senior Ranking Tournament will be able to benefit in two ways;

• Be part of aNational Seeding: Accumulate points to improve personal national ranking and paving the way for future selection to national teams.
• Compete for Prize Money: Earn cash prizes, providing a tangible reward for your hard work and dedication.

The men’s tournament will be hosted at Lugogo Tennis Complex from Thursday 12^th March to Saturday 15^th March 2025. Thereafter the following the women’s tournament will commence.
